Has anyone gotten laser treatment for acne scars?

I personally havent gotten it but i do know that it basically burns the skin to a certain depth and the dead skin then peels away leaving new healthy skin in its place. There are also many topical treatments for acne scars as well as other surgical procedures.|||There are many treatment options for acne scars -- not just lasers. Which treatment option is right for you depends on the specific type of acne scarring you have. Dermatologists have a classification system for acne scars: rolling, boxcar, and ice-pick. Which type of acne scar you have will determine what treatment is best for you: dermabrasion, dye-pulse laser, V-Beam/Smoothbeam laser, or even dermal fillers (Restalyne is the only one I would recommend -- it provides truly long-term results). All of these treatments have different prices. Also, some of these treatments are not appropriate for certain skin types (like those who are prone to keloid scarring).

I would *not* recommend going to a medical spa. They will sell you whatever you are willing to pay for, whether it will provide you a benefit or not. Go to an experienced dermatologist who offers a full range of services and get a full consultation.

What is the best treatment for acne?

Please help? x|||Hi Angel

Here are some real answers on skin conditions. Remedies at the bottom. Cleansing the body of toxins is the key. Especially a colon cleanse! Educate yourself on detoxifying the blood.

Judyth Reichenberg-Ullman N.D. - %26quot;What is your skin trying to tell you? Often the skin is a metaphor for deeper issues and a way for your body to send up a red flag to warn you that all is not well underneath. When our skin is unhealthy it is usually a reflection of the internal state of our bodies, and is often a sign of poor elimination of toxins and waste products. Most of us are embarrassed by skin problems such as rashes, rosacea, boils or acne, especially in places where others can see our imperfections. The skin is the body%26#039;s first line of defense against the environment. It has to deal with the effects of weather, sun , cold, heat, dryness, humidity, scrapes, bumps, soaps, detergents, chemicals, perspiration and dirt of all kinds. It is a wonder that our skin stays healthy most of the time! We can help our skin deal with this onslaught by optimizing our general health and by protecting our skin from harsh environmental exposure. Western medicine generally treats skin eruptions with either antibiotics, cortisone, or antifungal preparations. These medicines may alleviate the skin problem temporarily, or occasionally for good, but do not address the source of the problem. Putting a lid on skin symptoms without getting to the root of the imbalance may even result in suppression, that means the imbalance may be driven deeper causing more serious health problems later without ever strengthening the underlying vital force of the person. Fortunately, naturopathic medicine offers a wide vareity of effective treatments for skin problems.%26quot;

Judyth Reichenberg-Ullman N.D. - %26quot;Your skin is a reflection of how well your body is eliminating the toxins that build up on a daily basis. Chronic skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis stem from a combination of genetic factors, immune stress, dietary deficiencies or sensitivities, and the accumulation of toxins in the body. For our skin to be radiant and clear, it is very important that the other organs of elimination (kidneys, liver, lungs, and colon) are cleansing the body effectively. If not, the skin will be overtaxed, pores will become clogged, and eruptions of one sort or another will result. Here are a number of steps you can take to improve your body%26#039;s overall elimination wtih specific emphasis on your skin.%26quot;

Detoxification is a normal body process of eliminating or neutralizing toxins through the colon, liver, kidneys, lungs, lymph and skin. Juice Fasting is the world%26#039;s most ancient and natural healing mechanism. Fasting triggers a truly wondrous cleansing process that reaches right down to each and every cell and tissue in the body.

Learn more about Therapeutic Fasting and Detoxification - Colon Cleansing is the main step. Must remove the toxins from the colon, so the toxins dont get in the blood and cause illness and disease.

Natural Cures

1. Fruits and Vegetables for Acne: Carrot %26amp; spinach, celery %26amp; watercress, grapefruit juices are all useful to combat acne.

2. Unwholesome Foods: Acne, a prevalent problem among teen-aged boys would not be possible in our society if our foods were wholesome. A most sad and disgusting sight is the pus-filled pimples due to inner toxicity --- wastes trying desperately to escape through the face. This condition often turns a gentle face in the blossom of youth into a waste dump of pimples, pus and subsequent pock marks which can be prevented. The tons of acne medications and prescriptions sold annually act only on the effect of the harmful food, and not the cause of the disease, malnutrition. The traditional teenage meal, a grease burger, french fries and a milk shake or cola simply does not provide enough nourishment for anyone, let alone a boy going through puberty to adulthood. Our highly processed foods are devoid of hormones found in fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds. Must do a colon cleanse to rid of all the toxins in the body, which eventually get into the blood and cause acne and all other diseases.

3. Cabbage: Apply a lotion of freshly prepared cabbage juice preceded, if desired, by the application of leaves. The eating of cabbage leaves or juice is also helpful.

4. Lemon Juice: Skin problems such as acne... will often respond to a treatment of lemon juice. For blackheads rub lemon juice over them each night.

5. Black Walnut: Externally, Black Walnut is nearly a miracle worker in cases of ...acne, dandruff, boils, itch, shingles, ringworm--we could go on, but you can see that you can use Black Walnut whenever a skin disorder appears! The tincture is an excellent first-aid remedy for wounds.

Cheryl writes, %26quot;My daughter developed a case of moderate acne, and after trying a number of different things for over a year which helped very little or not at all, she started drinking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar three times a day and applying it topically once at night. Anything above mild acne probably needs either oral of topical antibiotics from your GP, they may be needed very long term.

Finally if the acne is severe and antibiotics fail, the treatment of choice is Roaccutane. Because of it%26#039;s side effect it can only be prescribed by hospital dermatologists.|||proactiv|||For some people one particular treatment will work well, for others it won%26#039;t.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I%26#039;m 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Well good luck and best wishes.|||Hey

There is no one answer for this question but from my experience if you really want to treat your acne there are two recommended methods that should combined together (if you can afford it) for best results.

Firstly and more important in my opinion, you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that%26#039;s causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.

There are only few good Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to cure your acne from the inside.

Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their programs they share their valuable knowledge with other acne sufferers. In any case, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.

You can find honest and comprehensive review about the best programs in the market today in this helpful article:

http://www.squidoo.com/Best-Acne-Ebooks

The second thing that you need to do is to get good acne skin product that will be suitable for your skin.

There are hundreds of acne skin care products available in the market in these days and it%26#039;s not easy to choose the product that will give you the best results.

When choosing your product make sure to check that you get at least 2 months full guarantee. Some of the big names in the industry are:

ClearPores, Acuzine, Acnezine, Proactiv, Vilante and some others.

From my experience Clearpores cleansing system works very well. Check this website to learn a lot more about their different systems and limited time offers:

I hope that these tips will help you to get rid of your acne, good luck!

Acne diet

Acne : Home Remedies suggested by users

All-fruit Acne diet

To begin with, the patient should take only an %26#039;all-fruit%26#039; diet for a week, taking three meals a day, of fresh juicy fruits, such as apples, pears, grapes, grapefruit, pineapples, and peaches. Only unsweetened lemon or plain water, either hot or cold, should be drunk and nothing else.

Well-balanced Acne diet

After the one-week, all-fruit diet, the patient can gradually adopt a well-balanced diet with emphasis on raw foods, especially fresh fruit and vegetables, sprouted seeds, raw nuts, and wholegrain cereals, particularly millet and brown rice. Further short periods of the %26#039;all-fruit%26#039; diet for three days or so may be necessary at a monthly interval till the skin%26#039;s condition improves.

Avoid strong tea/coffee, soft drinks and processed foods

Meats, sugar, strong tea or coffee, condiments, pickles, soft drinks, candies, ice cream, refined and processed foods should be avoided as far as possible.

Other Acne natural treatments

Warm-water enema

During the initial one week %26#039;all-fruit%26#039; diet, a warm-water enema taken daily cleanses the bowels. Apply hot fomentation locally to open up the pores and to bring out the waste matter. Then rinse the affected parts with cold water.

Hot Epsom salts bath

A hot Epsom salts bath twice a week is beneficial in all cases of acne. This bath is prepared by adding 1 陆 kg of Epsom salts to 60 litres of water having a temperature of about 37.8掳 C. The patient should remain in the bath tub for 25-35 minutes till he sweats freely. After the bath, the patient should cool off gradually.|||I think it is better to use natural remedies, because they have not side effects

Try to use orange peel : apply it on affected areas.

Apply lemon juice on affected areas

Use fenugreek leaves

I used to have really bad acne right from my teenage years . It was pretty embarassing to go to college with my acne patched face and I was desperate to get rid of it somehow. I took plenty of efforts to keep my face clean all the time and also ate nutritious food and drank lots of water. None of it helped though. I then recently read an article about a lady who got rid of her acne completely using a particular acne product. I tried it and it worked really well. Within 4 weeks my acne was hardly visible. Really good stuff. You can read more about the lady鈥檚 article at the link below.

What is a good product or treatment to get past acne scars off?

Also known as Beta Hydroxy Acid (compare to AHA), salicylic acid is the key additive in many skin-care products for the treatment of acne, psoriasis, callouses, corns, keratosis pilaris and warts. It treats acne by causing skin cells to slough off more readily, preventing pores from clogging up. This effect on skin cells also makes salicylic acid an active ingredient in several shampoos meant to treat dandruff. Use of straight salicylic solution may cause hyperpigmentation on unpretreated skin for those with darker skin typesthe best thing! it%26#039;s more abrasive than mederma or topical lotions. Due to its excellent capability to penetrate skin, glycolic acid finds applications in skin care products, most often as a chemical peel performed by a dermatologist in concentrations of 20%-80% or at-home kits in lower concentrations of 10%. It is used to improve the skin%26#039;s appearance and texture. It may reduce wrinkles, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation and improve many other skin conditions. Once applied, glycolic acid reacts with the upper layer of the epidermis, weakening the binding properties of the lipids that hold the dead skin cells together. This allows the outer skin to %26quot;dissolve%26quot; revealing the underlying, healthier, smoother, brighter-looking skinwhat happens is the Dr. or skin care provider of specialist applies a glycolic solution or salicylic liquid to your skin. it is left on for a minute or more depending on the number of treatments you need. if you need 4 treatments.. at the 4th treatment it will stay on for 4Min%26#039;s. if you love to be in the sun, i would recommend waiting till winter to have a chemical peel. the down side is that it%26#039;s a peel and it does exactly that. so you look like your shedding skin. the results are worth it. check with your local dermatologist with questions or prices.|||good question i would like to know tooo.....|||no use acne free scar repair i use it and it works pretty good and it at wal-mart for only 14.99|||i use scare zone for my scare of operation and for my acne but i don%26#039;t make big acne so i think what is the best go see a dermatologist and ask a laser for disappear your scare on your face and i promess you it work. sorry i know my english is bad but i do my best.|||http://www.mederma.com/|||ask an esthetician (someone who gives facials) about a chemical peel or microdermabrasion.
