I need an acne treatment that works?

I%26#039;m 16 and for over a year and a half I%26#039;ve gotten bad acne on my forehead, and other random pimples on other parts of my face, and recently, I started getting acne on my chest. I need a treatment that works, I%26#039;ve tried Proactiv, Neutrogena Cleansers, the Clean and Clear three step thing, and the microclear technology thing and it hasn%26#039;t made my acne better. Its extremely frustrating to have to have to put on cover up every time I go out and I%26#039;m looking for a solution that WORKS rather than all the scams they have out there. Any suggestions? |||use clear.now! It%26#039;s the only 3-step acne treatment system utilizing patent-pending sodium chlorite combined with salicylic acid to keep pores clean, clear, and cared for.

http://aorihuela.qbeautyzone.com/|||i only have one answer to this: go on birth control!

I started getting acne when I was 14 and I started taking birth control when I was 15 and it takes about 3 months of steady taking without messing up, but SERIOUSLY it works. My skin is completely clear and I never get any pimples. It works because it levels our your hormones which is what causes teenage acne. ask your mom and doctor and see what they can put you on. I take the birth control called yasmin. It%26#039;s a real miracle worker!|||accutane. It has side effects but they go away...it%26#039;s some strong stuff. Go to a dermatologist and ask about it.. You%26#039;ll be zit free in 2 months. I used it when I was 15. I had bad acne. I am 33 now..I never get zits. I have refered about 5 folks to the drug...They always come back and thank me.

I am usually an alternative therapy kind of person...but I made an exception with accutane. It changed my face and my life.|||none of the over the counter products work so i went to my doctor and she suggested this topical liquid medicine. and let me tell you im so glad i have it coz my acne quickly disappeard. i suggest going to the doctor and ask them since they know best|||Doctors, sorry but if you%26#039;ve tried all that then nothing off the shelf will work.|||the best solution is drinking plenty of water. Leave the drinks alone and you will see a change. |||i use clean and clear and it works better than practive works %26lt;3|||First, try drinking more water. Second, if you use foundation, make sure that it%26#039;s noncomedogenic [won%26#039;t cause acne]. You also want to find a moisturizer that will keep your skin from drying out, but the moisturizer shouldn%26#039;t make your skin feel greasy.

As far as cleansers, etc. go, I went through many of the same treatments you described. I have had acne since the third grade, and now that I am a sophomore in college, it is finally clearing up quite a bit. Depending on your age, your hormones are going to affect your skin quite a bit. My recommendation is to find a soap that is a very gentle cleanser, and find a light moisturizer. I use Neutrogena%26#039;s Daily Cleanser/Intensive Mask as a cleanser, and it works well for me. You could try a cleanser/soap that is formulated for gentle skin [even Ivory soap works].

Unfortunately, you are going to have to experiment a bit more. Try drinking more water, keeping your hands away from your face [since the oil from your hands gets absorbed into your pores], and try to avoid staying stressed out. You can also go to Sephora, and they can give you samples of skin cleansers and makeup that suit your skin type that you can experiment with.
