my mom bought me the arbonne clear advantage acne treatment for Christmas and i have been using it for aprx. 2 weeks now 2x time a day and this past week i have noticed my face is really dry and rough skin and now my skin is harding and falling off is this normal?
also would i be able to use a face moisturizer on it? i have very sensitive skin and alot of items make my face break out but this clears my acne up great but im worried now about my rough dry flaking off skin what should i do and what can i do?|||This line is excellent. The thing is, your skin is adjusting, because Arbonne doesn%26#039;t use the same ingredients that you might be used to using. What I would recommend is using either the Intelligence Moisturizer or the Re9 Moisturizer or the Rejuvinating Creme as your moisturizer, and using the clear advantage lotion as more of a %26quot;spot treatment%26quot; -all three are excellent Arbonne moisturizers that will compliment the clear advantage line.
Lastly, consider what make-up you are using. If you are using a make-up that is not good for your skin on top of such an excellent skin care line, it doesn%26#039;t make sense, and can give you bad reactions! The liquid foundation Arbonne has is excellent and helps with dry skin, or, for something lighter, the FYI Tinted Moisturizer gives you some coverage and extra hydration!
Stick with the line--- your skin cells turnover about once per month, and need to adjust! I do recommend using one of the other Arbonne moisturizers and using the clear advantage as a spot treatment for sure though.
ALL THE BEST!

ALSO: It is imperative that you do use a moisturizer every time you wash your face, other wise your sebacous glands will over compensate.|||Go to gotchalks or yonkers or something depending on where you live and buy Clineque (clin-eke) i dont know how to spell it. you can prolly get it other places to just go to the like make up section and it will be there somewhere|||How long have you been using the system? Consider that the normal process of new skin cells rising to the surface 鈥?cell turnover rate 鈥?takes 30-60 days; therefore you may not see the new cells that are stimulated by the products for as long as two months.
There is an initial period of adjustment that skin goes through any time you switch products or begin using a new system. This is completely normal and varies in duration, because everyone鈥檚 skin is different. It can take about four to six weeks for the skin to adjust to new products. During this process, it is normal to have new breakouts, additional breakouts, or a different reaction of some sort because the products are very concentrated and will bring impurities up to the surface of your skin.
You might consider using the products only once a day. This may help with the dryness as your skin adjusts.
Our suggestions are as follows:
Consider the amount of product used for application. Because they are so concentrated, it is a lot for your skin to metabolize all at once. We suggest starting with as little as possible and building up from there to meet the needs of your skin.
Consider the frequency of use. Perhaps using the products every other day or once a day instead of twice can prove beneficial during the first few weeks of use.
Sometimes it is helpful to introduce the products one at a time. This way, if there is sensitivity, you can better identify which product may have triggered it and make the appropriate adjustments.
Performing a patch test can also help determine which product may be the cause for the sensitivity. Apply a small amount of product on the upper, inner arm, cover with a bandage, and leave on overnight. The next morning, look for any signs of irritation, such as redness, itchiness, etc.
If you have any other questions or would like to know anything further, please let me know. I%26#039;ll be happy to help you.|||my mom sells arbonne and the same thing happend to me so just use the acne lotion once a day or every outher day.|||If its working the way it should, then its your skin peeling to get rid of the top layer. Some scrub and face cream should help in the mean time. It should stop doing it soon. Its the natural cycle of your skin. My sister looks 3-4 weeks before she stopped turning red and peeling.
You can do 2 times every other day and 1 time in between. If you see cracking and bleeding then you know its bad. I bet some exfoliating and face cream will do the trick though.
