What acne treatments worked for you?

proactive, acnexus, clearasil, neutrogena, zeno, etc? Ive been searching the internet for the top ones but they are all different. Which one do i believe? I%26#039;ve tried everything but nothing works for my face|||Any products with acylic acid in it work for me.|||i%26#039;ve told people to do these home remedies %26amp; they said it worked .

Boil a big pot of water

now, while that boils, crack an egg %26amp; only let the clear/white

goop fall into a bowl %26amp; then beat that with a fork . now that the

water should be almost boiling or wait till it does, steam your

face when its ready with a towel over the pot %26amp; your head

i would recommend sitting at a table while doing this .

steam your face for as long as you want, %26amp; or till you feel

that your pores are open enough %26amp; quickly apply the egg

with a cotton ball all over your face, leave that on for 15 minutes

it%26#039;s like a mask, so it will tighten %26amp; get hard.. then wash it off

with warm/hot water, then rinse your whole face over %26amp; over

again with COLD water, cold water will tighten your pores :)

Honey ( honey is a really good moisturizer )

- use a hot face cloth %26amp; hold it against your face for a minute

smear honey on your face %26amp; leave for 15-20 minutes, rinse with

warm then rinse again with cold water .|||ok this might sound a little crazy but my grandma told me this last year apple cider vinegar you can drink 1 tabs of it a day or put it right on your face, it%26#039;s a little tart but it works wonders.... and its cheap not like all those other Acne meds.... or worse comes to worse acutane you get it from a doctor my friend had the worst acne ever and now nothing at all|||All of those products, whether they end up working for you or not, are TERRIBLE for the health of your skin :(

Be as gentle with your skin as you can :) This means that harsh chemicals like acids, hardening/drying antibacterials, soaps, etc should be avoided. (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, astringents, alcohol, bleaches, the list goes on.....) and they are all in OTC medications for acne. Prescription meds are no better, they alter your skin chemistry, make you dependent on them, and have tons of side effects.

now im not saying they won%26#039;t work, because often they do, they are just messing with your skins health.

Try only washing once a day. If you have to do it twice, only use water for one of them. Cleanse your skin with either a cream cleanser or an oil such as a castor oil mixture, jojoba oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil etc. wipe off with a steamy wash cloth.

For spot treating you could try lavender oil or tea tree, but i never had any success with this.

shea butter is great for moisture and healing acne scars!

taking zinc supplement is good too.|||Honestly, the only thing that cleared up my skin was hormonal birth control pills. That%26#039;s a little extreme though. The apple cider vinegar thing worked for me too, it sounds weird but it%26#039;s great stuff, I drink a little every day. Make sure to get Bragg%26#039;s though, the Heinz brand is too distilled.

I used to use diluted tea tree oil as an astringent which seemed to work okay, but not great.

For occasional spot treatments, nothing works better than toothpaste. As soon as I see a zit forming, I put toothpaste on it and poof! overnight it disappears. It%26#039;s great.|||I tried Clearasil, proactive, and acne free....they work great for a while, but you have to keep using them. to be honest now I just wash my face with dial hand soap(to wash my make-up off), and every other day I use those new dove facial scrubs. It%26#039;s a little pad you put on this thing that vibrates...it works really well, and then I use curel lotion, which is safe to use on your face without the worry of clogging your pores, as a moisturizer|||i tried most of what you put up, and quite frankly they dont work.

dont waste your money..

go for natural~

green tea bags, frozen.

just a dab on the spots before sleeping.

left over yogurt w/a drop of lemon. blueberrys good.

spread allover face

it seemed to work..atleast for now..

as long as you clean your face. and i mean CLEAN.|||clear.now, definitely give it a try, it worked for me!
