Is acne treatment safe or not during pregnancy?

I am 8 weeks pregnant with twins. I developed an awful acne on my cheeks, neck, shoulders and chest. Some acnes on my cheeks are very painful. I use Clean and Clear Foam Cleanser twice a day, and I also used Clean and Clear spot treatment which has benzoyl peroxide in it ( I leave it on my face for night). Well, I was just surfing Internet, and found that salic. acid and benz. peroxide both are not good during pregnancy. So what do I do now? I used salic. acid in C and C foam cleanser in my other two pregnancies, my kids are fine. Anyone knows if I could harm my unborn babies while using those products? I am so worried right now.|||When I was pregnant I was using proactiv, I called the company just to be sure and they said it%26#039;s not safe while breastfeeding....so I just quit it as I didn%26#039;t think it was safe for my baby through my milk so I am not using it while pregnant.

I would call the company and your doctor to be safe.|||As long as you%26#039;re not taking anything orally (like nature%26#039;s cure) then you%26#039;ll be fine to use your acne creams and washes. They contain so little amount of the chemical that even if you used the entire bottle in one sitting it would be doubtful that the acne washes would do any harm to you or baby. Good luck and congrats!|||I know that proactive is safe for use during pregnancy. I know a lot of people who use it and it works. Walgreen%26#039;s sell%26#039;s an off brand and my sister uses it and says it works better than proactive.|||the concentration in those cleansers is so low they hardly make any impact. I think the website probably means the tubes of 10% benzoyl peroxide you can buy over the counter.
