Lazor acne treatment questions..? PLEASE!?

ok so i have pretty bad acne and im going to the dermatologist at the end of the week. They are going to give me the option of the lazor treatment to get rid of it completely. But i have a few questions before i go in. Does it hurt? what is it like? Does your face stay red for very long or does it dry out your skin? Does it get rid of scars on your face from old pimples? annnnnd... Does it really work? Is it worth doing? i really want to get rid of me acne i hate it. So.. if anyone has had experiences with the treatment, could u tell me about your experience? THANKS!!! =]

xoxoxo|||I am an older man. I have a condition know as rhinophyma which is also known as advanced Rosacea. Rhinophyma, which attacks the nose, resembles acne but affects men much worse then women. It is sometimes treated with laser surgery. In the last year I have had two types of surgery on my nose. The first with a device known as %26quot;hot loop%26quot; removed the bulk of years of scar tissue on most of my nose and the second was laser surgery on the balance of my nose. The laser surgery was done this past August 19. Both of my surgeries were in a hospital setting (day surgery) and involved the use of general anesthesia. Depending on the type of laser device your Dermatologist uses and the area of your face covered you will most likely experience some degree of pain that may last for several weeks. You will most likely need some pain medication for the first couple of days and after that it will subside and shouldn%26#039;t be too bothersome as long as you follow the doctors instructions for taking care of and eventually ridding yourself of the scabs he will produce with the laser. You should be good to go within 4 to 6 weeks of post op. You will have pink skin for a while and will need to avoid direct sunlight during that time. I hope my answer helped. Feel free to ask questions. Good luck.
