2 months ago i started Loestrin24Fe birth control pill, and got the horrible side effect of moderate-severe acne. i started using Proactiv solution again hoping it would clear my face up, because prior to taking the Pill my skin was flawless. the Proactiv didnt help as much as i thought it would, but i am continuing to use it.
i now take doxycycline hyclate 100mg twice a day. i have read reviews on this drug, saying that you should take it on an empty stomach. has anyone ever taken this drug to help with acne? do you have any suggestions of when to take it? did it help you? i have checked with my doctor, and it is ok for me to be taking this drug along with the Pill.|||works for me

i still take it and my skins almost all clear|||I am on this pill and that exact dosage but only once a day. I am also starting birth control and my doctor said that doxycycline doesn%26#039;t interfere with birth control. ALWAYS take it with food, like dinner or lunch and make sure you don%26#039;t have dairy an hour before or after you take the pill. Cheese is okay as long as cheese isn%26#039;t the ONLY thing you ate. Make sure you will be not laying down for the next couple of hours after taking the pill.

I was told to take it twice a day, with a full glass of water
