I%26#039;ve been simplifying my skincare routine (Cetaphil cleanser and Cetaphil lotion), but there is something missing... salicylic acid! My pores are still clogged, although my skin has improved a great amount. What is the best? My friend recommended the Oxy pads, and her skin is clear, but I can%26#039;t get over the masculine smell... I tried Stridex a few months back and the pads did nothing. So what%26#039;s the best? Clearasil? Neutrogena? Oxy? Noxzema? My skin is sensitive, but it can handle alcohol... it is just more prone to drying out than with others. Yet if I use too much lotion, my skin gets oily and sticky. Anyway, I want to give salicylic acid another shot.|||Hi.
I have discovered that the best treatment for acne, oily skin, and all facial skin is through a pure olive oil soap. This becomes a daily regiment with a weekly or twice weekly massage of a light nongreasy oil, like grape seed or sweet almond.
This routine will not clog the pores, and your oil glands will be encouraged to produce normally, so no oily face.
Believe when I tell you, this works for so, so many others. It is all natural, as well. And, your skin will glow.|||Right now, im using proactive and it is doing wonders for my skin. It makes it a little dry, but it works well =] But i also use purpose face soap in the shower before i use practive in the mornings. That way my skin isnt oily and feels clean =] Good luck =]|||okay well the thing i do is that i use proactiv cleanser in the shower ( you can use any cleanser that you%26#039;d like ) then after, i use neautrogena pore refining toner. it works super well for your pores and it never dries out my skin ( trust me my skin is sensitive as hell ) but there is a very noticeable alcohol smell to it that you%26#039;ll hate.
i think you should give it a try, even if it doesn%26#039;t ahve salicylic acid.
it%26#039;s about 5 dollars at walmart too. it%26#039;s worked wonders for me so good luck :)!
